NUFUTIC – New Band With NECROPHAGIST And SADIST Members

NUFUTIC, the fusion-metal project founded by Dutch bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling (PESTILENCE, ex-OBSCURA) and Italian guitarist/keyboardist Tommy Talamanca (SADIST), informed they just teamed up with Drummer Romain Goulon (NECROPHAGIST) and vocalist Trevor Sadist (SADIST), and that they’re currently writing material for a first serie of recordings.

Jeroen Thesseling says:

“Despite great feedback to our drummer auditions, it was far from easy to find the right match. However, when we talked withRomain, it turned out that he has a huge passion for fusion music. He developed his skills in both genres, which is quite exceptional for a metal drummer.

“It’s awesome to have Trevor and Romain with us and we’re excited to write material for a first serie of recordings”.

Added Goulon:

“Joining NUFUTIC is a great opportunity for me. Mixing a jazz-fusion flow with metal skills will be a very interesting challenge. This is all about finding the right skills from both styles and get the best feeling out of it. Through the years, I’ve been working on these genres of drumming and that makes it a next logical step”.

Stated Trevor:

“I’m very excited about the collaboration with this new project. Working with these guys will be an incredible experience and feels like joining an international dream team.”

PSYCROPTIC – New Album Title, Release Date Announced

The new PSYCROPTIC album, now entitled “The Inherited Repression”, is due on February 10 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records. The album was produced, engineered and mixed by Joe Haley, and mastering was hadled by Alan Douches.

PSYCROPTIC is:
Jason Peppiatt – Vocals
Cameron Grant – Bass
Joe Haley – Guitars
Dave Haley – Drums

Band guitarist Joe Haley comments:

‘The Inherited Repression’ is far and away my favorite PSYCROPTIC record thus far — all of us in the band think this.

“It’s the age-old cliché from bands when they talk about their new album as being the best of their career, blah, blah, but I have to say it because it’s true. We wouldn’t think there is a point of going on if we couldn’t outdo each record prior. We are certainly not playing music for anything else than the love of creating it and performing it.

‘The Inherited Repression’ is quite different from anything we have done in terms of songwriting and structure, and we spent a lot longer writing and demoing the songs before we recorded it, which you can tell. It’s a very dynamic album — the fast elements faster, the slow elements slower, and a lot of light and dark binding it together. It’s a very catchy album as well — you can tap your foot, bang your head or anything else you want. Basically, it has a lot of groove on it from start to finish.”

“The Inherited Repression” tracks:

01. Carriers Of The Plague
02. Forward To Submission
03. Euphorinasia
04. The Throne Of Kings
05. Unmasking The Traitors
06. Become The Cult
07. From Scribe To Ashes
08. Deprivation
09. The Sleepers Have Awoken
