‘My Lost Empire’ Lyric Video Released By STORMLORD

The official lyric video for the song “My Lost Empire” from the Italian extreme epic metal act STORMLORD can be seen above. The track comes off the band’s new album, “Hesperia“, which will be released on September 20 through Trollzorn and distributed by Soulfood.

The follow-up to 2008’s “Mare Nostrum” was recorded at Rome’s Outer Sound Studios (NOVEMBRE, NECRODEATH, THE FORESHADOWING, KLIMT 1918) with Giuseppe Orlando.

STORMLORD‘s fourth full-length album, “Mare Nostrum“, was released in May 2008 via Locomotive Records.

The Legacy – 17 Years of Extreme Epic Metal“, a double “best-of” collection from STORMLORD, was released on February 22, 2007 through Scarlet Records.

The first CD contains 13 songs spanning the band’s 17-year career as of one of Europe’s most respected metal merchants, including the rare EP “Under the Sign of the Sword“, originally released in 1997. The second CD contains a full live show recorded in Montreal on June 14, 2006 during the band’s Canadian tour.

Scarlet Records released STORMLORD‘s first official DVD, “The Battle of Quebec City: Live in Canada“, in July 2007 in Europe.

SCAR THE MARTYR Stream Preview Of ‘My Retribution’ Track

SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison‘s new project, SCAR THE MARTYR will release their self-titled debut on October 1st via Roadrunner Records.

A preview of the track ‘My Retribution’ is currently streaming at this location.

In anticipation of their debut release, Scar The Martyr is currently out on tour with metal and punk rock icons DANZIG on the band’s 25th Anniversary Tour.

The North American trek, which also features Doyle from MISFITS, wraps up on August 31st at Tempe, Arizona’s Marquee Theatre.

‘Acquiescent’ Video Released PAMELA MOORE

Acquiescent“, the new video from female vocalist Pamela Moore, who is best known for her performance as Sister Mary on QUEENSRŸCHE‘s 1988 epic release “Operation: Mindcrime” and 2006’s sequel “Operation: Mindcrime II“, can be seen above.

Pamela Moore‘s new album, “Resurrect Me“, was released on May 14 via Rat Pak Records.

Pungent Stench Active Again

After a six-year break, death metallers Pungent Stench are back in business. Original composer, vocalist and guitarist El Cochino (Martin Schirenc) has once again re-animated the band and is joined by Danny Vacuum (Genocide SS, The Accidents) on bass and vocals and Mike G. Mayhem (Hollenthon) on drums.

From now on, they will go by the name The Church Of Pungent Stench.

AMARANTHE vocalist Elize Ryd recently confirmed her participation in Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Video Game.

CRADLE OF FILTH‘s singer Dani Filth, EPICA‘s Mark Jansen and Simone Simons, DRAGONFORCE‘s Marc Hudson and Henning Base (METALIUM, FIREWIND) are also among the artists taking part in the world’s first ever rock-opera video game.

VESPERIA post first tour diary

‘Canadian epic metallers VESPERIA have released the first tour footage from their cross-Canada tour this August with CRIMSON SHADOWS. VESPERIA performed shows all the way from Ontario to Victoria, BC over a 2 week span, covering over 11000 km and accomplishing over 120 hours of driving.

In addition to the new tour footage, VESPERIA have also begun to stream a new song from their new album AN OLDEN TALE on their Youtube channel. Comments the band on the video: “Here we proudly present the folkiest and most upbeat song we have to offer from AN OLDEN TALE! Can you pick out the banjos being played throughout the song? Ready those neck muscles and top up your mjød-horn for the sounds of FORSAKEN SHORES!”

VESPERIA have also recently made available their new album AN OLDEN TALE, which features 8 songs of epic Canadian celtic death/ black metal. The album features crushing vocals, massive riffing, heroic guitar solos, group choirs, stunning walls of orchestras and a massive variety of celtic/ ethnic instruments featured throughout the entire album.


ANNIHILATOR Mainman Talks To Italy’s SpazioRock

Italian web site SpazioRock recently conducted an interview with guitarist Jeff Waters of Canadian thrash metal veterans ANNIHILATOR.

ANNIHILATOR filmed a video for the song “No Way Out” earlier this month in Hannover, Germany. The track comes off the band’s 14th studio album, “Feast“, which was released on August 23 in Europe and August 27 in North America via UDR.

The deluxe eco-book version also features a bonus CD containing 15 of the best ANNIHILATOR songs re-recorded in 2012… a grand total of 24 songs in one package… with a 3D cover!

CLUTCH Release Video For ‘Crucial Velocity’

Maryland rockers CLUTCH have released a video for their track ‘Crucial Velocity’, featured on the band’s latest album, Earth Rocker. The clip, shot, directed and edited by actress Aisha Tyler (Archer, The Talk, Friends), can be seen above.

Clutch have confirmed that they will be heading back down under next year to participate in the Soundwave Festival. The first show is Saturday February 22nd in Brisbane, followed by shows in Syndey, Melbourne and Adelaide before wrapping up Monday March 3rd in Perth. Clutch headlining Australian dates will be announced shortly.
