Fan-Filmed Video From Stuttgart Show Online By AHAB

Fan-filmed video of German doomsters performing ‘The Hunt‘ from their debut album, The Call Of The Wretched Sea, during a recent show in Stuttgart is available above.

An Ahab fan has created a video clip for the band’s song ‘Further South’, which the band has deemed “exquisite”. The clip features footage shot by said fan, blacksheep665, including whales in Alaska.

‘Further South’ is taken from Ahab‘s 2012 album, The Giant.

Iskald’s New Album Coming Next January

Three years after they released The Sun I Carried Alone, Norwegian black metal duo Iskald will return with their new album titled Nedom Og Nord, on January 14th in Norway and the rest of Europe, and January 17th in Germany/Austria via Indie Recordings.

The album is a tribute to their artic, majestic and dark home, the northern part of Norway.

I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN With New Album Trailer

Australian metalcore outfit I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN recently signed to Epitaph Records worldwide. The band has just finalized the recording of its new album in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström (BRING ME THE HORIZON, AT THE GATES, IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, ARCHITECTS), with plans to release the new material in 2014.

Following his stint with BRING ME THE HORIZON, songwriter and guitarist Jona Weinhofen returns to his role in I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN and he states: “We are absolutely ecstatic to join the Epitaph Records family. Having worked with the label previously with BRING ME THE HORIZON, I knew exactly what Epitaph was capable of and that it would be the perfect home for I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN.

SKID ROW Bassist Talks To France’s RockNLive.org

RockNLive.org conducted an interview with with SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan before the band’s November 23 concert at Le Forum in Vauréal, France.

SKID ROW‘s latest EP, “United World Rebellion – Chapter One“, was released in Europe on May 24 via Germany’s UDR Music. The European version of the EP includes two bonus tracks, both of them cover tunes: “Fire Fire” (EZO) and “United” (JUDAS PRIEST).

United World Rebellion – Chapter One” sold around 1,500 copies in the Unted States in its first week of release. Released in North America on April 16 via MRI, the effort is the first in a series of EPs that the reincarnated band — Dave “Snake” Sabo (guitar), Rachel Bolan (bass), Scotti Hill (guitar), Johnny Solinger (vocals) and Rob Hammersmith (drums) — plans to release in the near future.

MEMORY GARDEN With Video Footage Of ProgPower Oslo Performance

Video footage of MEMORY GARDEN‘s November 15 performance at the ProgPower Oslo Festival in Oslo, Norway can be seen above.

MEMORY GARDEN‘s fifth album, “Doomain“, was released on April 15 in Europe and April 16 in North America via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Annoying Sound Factory and SolnaSound Recording by the bandmembers themselves, with a little engineering assistance from Mike Wead (KING DIAMOND) during the lead guitar sessions.

The mix was handled by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH, NIGHTINGALE) at Unisound studios in Örebro, Sweden.

MEMORY GARDEN was formed in 1992 in Sweden and has since then released five albums, three of them under the flag of Metal Blade Records (“Verdict Of Posterity” in 1998, “Mirage” in 2000 and “Doomain” in 2013).

Saxon With New Video Online

British heavy metal legends Saxon have released their brand new video for the acoustic version of “Frozen Rainbow” which is a special reworking of a classic Saxon tune from the band’s 1979 self-titled debut album, taken from their new collection Unplugged And Strung Up now in stores via UDR Music.

IN FLAMES’ Head Jester Issues New Studio Report

S. Langeland, the Head Jester from IN FLAMES’ official fanclub reports from the studio, where In Flames are recording their new album.

In Flames are at Köthener Strasse 38 to record the follow-up to the gold-selling Sounds Of A Playground Fading from 2011.

The recording of the band’s eleventh album will continue throughout the year, and in the spring of 2014 we will have the chance to hear the result of this exciting meeting between the classic studio and the Swedish metal pioneers.
