HELLOWEEN’s “My God-Given Right”

German power metallers HELLOWEEN will release their 15th studio album, “My God-Given Right“, on May 29 via Nuclear Blast. The CD was recorded between October 2014 and February 2015 at the band’s MiSueno Studio on the isle of Tenerife with producer Charlie Bauerfeind (GOTTHARD, HAMMERFALL).


HELLOWEEN has just released the first single from “My God-Given Right“, the speed metal hymn “Battle’s Won“. In addition to the digital download, a limited-edition two-track vinyl single was made available on April 24, also featuring the album cut “Lost In America“.

After revealing the cover and tracklist for their new opus Of Ghosts And Gods, Kataklysm have now shared a teaser previewing music from the album.

‘How To Be A Man’

As he gears up for the May 12 release of his much-buzzed-about new book, “How To Be A Man (And Other Illusions)” (Da Capo Press), former GUNS N’ ROSES bassist Duff McKagan will issue a three-song companion EP, “How To Be A Man“.

Borknagar’s Original Vocalist To Guest On New Album

Norwegian progressive black metallers Borknagar are happy to announce that original vocalist Kristoffer “Garm” Rygg (Ulver) is to guest on two tracks of the band’s upcoming album, due out this fall through Century Media.

The as-yet-untitled album will be mixed in June by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studio.

Skinless’ “Skinless”

Skinless“, the new NSFW video from American death metal legion Skinless, has premiered and can now be seen above.The seven-minute clip contains torture and gore and was filmed by Jim Brassard.



The song is taken from the band’s fifth album, Only The Ruthless Remain, which will be released via Relapse Records on June 2nd, 2015 in North America (June 1st in the UK/Europe and May 29th in Germany, Benelux, Finland).

Massacre Records will release the two-CD album “A Light In The Black – A Tribute To Ronnie James Dio” on May 22.

The label states in a press release: “Ronnie James Dio was a hero and inspiration to many musicians, such as Lars Ulrich (METALLICA), Doro Pesch and Axel Rudi Pell, and rumor has it that he’s the main reason why every metal head worldwide is familiar with the sign of the horns. Now it’s time for us to pay tribute to him as well: 12 of our bands covered Ronnie James Dio songs to honor this exceptional musician!”

A Light In The Black – A Tribute To Ronnie James Dio” will contain 20 songs by 12 different bands, including CRYSTAL BALL, MESSENGER, GUN BARREL, GLORYFUL, THE ORDER, METAL INQUISITOR, CIRCLE OF SILENCE, BURDEN OF GRIEF, LOVE.MIGHT.KILL, REBELLION, IRON FATE and WIZARD.

EUROPE’s ‘Days Of Rock ‘N’ Roll’

Days Of Rock ‘N’ Roll“, the new video from Swedish hard rockers EUROPE, can be seen above. The clip was directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among others.

Said EUROPE vocalist Joey Tempest: “We simply wanted to make a live video like we used to, uplifting and entertaining and really capture a band and its audience at a peak!

“The video was shot in Manchester and Wolverhampton on our latest U.K. tour. We used our friend and video director extraordinaire, Patric Ulaeus, who has done our five latest videos.

“The song is about the rise and fall… and rise of rock ‘n’ roll.”

Speaking about EUROPE‘s decision to hire producer Dave Cobb (RIVAL SONS) to work on the band’s new album, “War Of Kings“, after previously collaborating with Kevin Shirley (JOURNEY, IRON MAIDEN), Tempest said: “Well, it was kind of difficult [to switch things up], ’cause Kevin‘s amazing. Kevin and Dave are both two producers that can handle the live situation; they’re amazing with their sounds and how they work.
