DISTURBED First Live Show In Four Years

DISTURBED played its first show in four years last night (Friday, August 21) at the House Of Blues in the band’s hometown of Chicago.

The concert took place on the same day that the group’s sixth album, “Immortalized“, was released. The CD is DISTURBED‘s first all-new studio effort since 2010’s “Asylum” and ended a hiatus that began after the band completed the touring cycle for “Asylum” in 2011.

DISTURBED made a conscious decision to take a five-year break between albums and tours, with guitarist Dan Donegan telling The Pulse Of Radio that it was the right choice.

“It was, I guess, a tricky decision to make because we still felt like we were still climbing the ladder and at the height of our career,” he said. “So to be able to shut it down and walk away from it might be a bit of a gutsy movie, but it just felt right. It felt like, you know, maybe it’s time that we don’t become the house band on the summer tour and we don’t become predictable. It just felt like maybe we should just walk away for a minute.”

DISTURBED will hit the road next spring in support of “Immortalized“. The trek kicks off on March 11 in Vancouver, Canada, wrapping up on April 10 in Memphis.
