Greek black metal masters Zemial will tour North America for their first time ever since their inception in 1989 and tagged Brooklyn’s raw black metal band Throaat as their tour support.
According to the band, they will be playing their 2013 highly-esteemed progressive black metal masterpiece Nykta in its entirety, as well as some other fan favorites.
Zemial is a one man band with all compositions written, performed, and produced/recorded by Archon Vorskaath. With little aptness to spare, Vorskaath has been a contributor to many musical endeavors including Agatus, Absu, Varathron, Kawir, Crimson Moon, and many more.
In earlier times, Zemial drew a lot of inspiration from Quorthon, who is of course the black, thrash, and Viking metal legend Bathory himself, Celtic Frost and other extreme metal.
Later works have demonstrated heavy influence from progressive rock and electronic soundscapes, putting Zemial in a category of its own.
Vorskaath has proclaimed the current Zemial as avant-garde metal, and refuses to constrict himself to musical boundaries.
