Count’s 77 set to Release “Soul Transfusion”!

Shrapnel Records to release Count’s 77’s second record
“Soul Transfusion” March 10th 2017…

Las Vegas, USA. – Count’s 77, a hard rock band from Las Vegas, is fronted by lead singer Danny “Count” Koker, star of HISTORY’S hit series, “Counting Cars”.

With roots in 70’s hard rock, Count’s 77 is further powered by the twin guitar team of Stoney Curtis and John Zito, the former of whom has an international following as a recording and touring blues guitarist. With musical roots as diverse as Thin Lizzy, Foghat, The Allman Brothers and Led Zeppelin, Count’s 77 stands poised to be one of the leaders of the new classic rock revival. Soul Transfusion is the logical step forward in this stellar hard rock band’s recording career whose first record received critically acclaim internationally and established the band as one of the most promising new hard rock bands on the scene. The band recently completed their first video of their song “Summer of 77” which will be released imminently.

Danny “Count” Koker, is Count’s 77’s charismatic front man and was singing long before he came into international fame as the owner of Count’s Kustoms, his Las Vegas-based hotrod and chopper shop which is the subject of History’s hit TV show “Counting Cars” where the band was featured performing live with George Lynch.

Stoney Curtis, lead guitarist for Count’s 77, has amassed an international following as a recording and touring blues guitarist, releasing a steady flow of product for the last ten years, with international airplay and CD’s which consistently have made Amazon.com’s blues charts. Tommy Paris, is not only the band’s incredible keyboardist but he has been known internationally for nearly 25 years as the lead singer of platinum rockers Britny Fox. Rhythm and slide guitarist John Zito forged a career on the LA rock scene before bonding with Koker and Curtis. Virtuoso rock bassist Barry Barnes, having played bass in the critically acclaimed show “Rock Of Ages” and powerhouse drummer Paul Disibio form the rhythm section with strength and authority.

A lot of great things have happened for the band since their self-titled release in 2014. The band has played a series of charity shows for war veterans, drawing 5,000 to 10,000 people per event. They also performed at the Les Paul 100th Anniversary Party at the Hard Rock in Times Square with acts such as Steve Miller, Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and a host of other guitar legends and they were also the house band for the all star jam that ensued post party at the Iridium. The band headlined nine Autorama shows this past year and also played numerous large bike rallies, including Sturgis’ Full Throttle Saloon, The Roar On The Shore in Erie PA and Bike Fest in Piqua Ohio playing for up to 25,000 people per show. They also headlined The Big E in Eastern Massachusetts which events drew 5,000 to 15,000 and Ally Bank recently began their sponsorship of the band.

With their third full-length album “Det Nya Svarta” set for release on the 7th April on Indie Recordings,  Sweden’s ALFAHANNE have revealed a track from the album.  Titled “Stigmata”, the band explained  that the track “is about our home town. How you are born full of hope for the future, but the raw climate destroys you and the town drags you down”.

Recorded at the Dödskult studio by Alfahanne’s Pehr Skjoldhammer and Mixed and mastered by Stamos Koliousis, “Det Nya Svarta” follows the ALFAHANNE tradition of including some high profile artists making guest appearances.  Artists which in the past have included  TAAKE’s Hoest, SHINING’s Niklas Kvarforth, HELHEIM’s V’gandr,  KVELERTAK frontman Erlend Hjelvik, Spellgoth from HORNA and TURMION KÄTILÖT, and Nattfursth from SORHIN, not just on their first two albums, but also live on stage

Guests making an appearance on “Det Nya Svarta” include KAMPFAR’s Dolk, David Lindh from YVONNE AND BRODER DANIEL,  Sanrabb from GEHENNA and Nadine Skjoldhammer.  Tracklisting for “Det Nya Svarta” is as follows:

1. Satans verser (with Dolk from KAMPFAR)
2. Stigmata
3. Avgrundsgravitation (with David Lindh from YVONNE & BRODER DANIEL)
4. Klubb 27
5. Mitt mörker är mörkare än ditt (with Nadine Skjoldhammer)
6. Dödsmaskin (with Sanrabb from GEHENNA)
7. Även hund har sin dag
8. Svarta får
9. Det nya svarta

Formed in Eskilstuna in 2010,  the self-styled “Alfapokalyptic Rockers” burst onto the scene with energy, exuberance , and an impressive swagger, which, coupled with a fan-friendly attitude quickly earned them respect,  and an ever-increasing, and dedicated, following.  ALFAHANNE’s debut full-length album “Alfapokalyps” appeared on Dark Essence Records in 2014 and  was followed by “Blod Eld Alfa” in 2015.

The band’s lineup of Pehr Skjoldhammer on Vocals and Guitar, Fredrik Sööberg on Guitars, Niklas Åström on Drums and Jimmy Wiberg on Bass,  have a couple of decades of experience under their belts in bands like VINTERLAND and early MAZE OF TORMENT.  Together they have created a sound that mixes Black Metal with Classic Rock and Punk, and good old Rock n Roll that is unmistakably ALFAHANNE’s.

Frontman Skjoldhammer recently explained that with their third full-length album ALFAHANNE are continuing  to explore the dark side of mankind: “Alfahanne’s lyrics are very personal and have many layers of dirt. Once you dig deeper into them you find many truths as I see them.  Alfahanne will never lean to the left or to the right or write about political issues. The only political issue that is close to our hearts is equal rights but the flipside of that same coin is that we think everyone is equally…. Equally useless.”

“Det Nya Svarta” is now available to pre-order in CD and Vinyl formats from http://shop.indierecordings.no/artist/16189–alfahanne and in Digital format from https://itunes.apple.com/no/album/det-nya-svarta/id1202165056?

13 People Hospitalized After THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Bus Crash In Poland!

According to ITV.com, thirteen people were injured when a truck crashed into a tour bus carrying THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN.

The band was on its way to a concert in Krakow, Poland when the incident occurred.

None of the musicians were seriously hurt, a police spokeswoman said, but they were taken to hospital for further tests.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN‘s tour bus was parked partly on the road and hard shoulder at the time of the crash.

The band’s concert in Krakow on Sunday has been canceled as a result of the incident.

It is not presently clear if the rest of the THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN‘s tour will be affected.

They are next scheduled to play in Leipzig, Germany on Tuesday.

The New Jersey outfit recently announced it will go on indefinite hiatus following the tour cycle for its sixth album, “Dissociation”, which came out in October via guitarist Ben Weinman‘s Party Smasher Inc. label.

Weinman said that the sheer intensity of THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN‘s live shows wasn’t a contributing factor in the band’s decision to call it quits. “It’s probably a fact that we couldn’t do it when we’re 60, but we’re not stopping right now because we feel incapable, that’s for sure,” he told Noisey. “There’s a reality that eventually, the type of show that we’re doing wouldn’t be realistic — I’m pretty much falling apart at the limbs at this point — but it doesn’t matter, because when we play, we play. The rest of the world and anything else going on in our lives doesn’t exist. I think that’s what I’ll miss the most, those moments. But there isn’t any time in the very near future where we feel like we couldn’t do this; we still feel excitement from it and still get that catharsis when we play because it’s uninhibited free expression. But one of the reasons to stop now is because it’s great to still feel that way and control our destiny.”
