RMNE GIGIN’ > Mj.iMpErAtOrE at DAGOBA’s GIG in Braga, Portugal; Review, pics and videos

Our RMNE editor, Filipe “Mj.iMpErAtOrE” Marta, attended DAGOBA‘s gig at DINAAMO PANOIAS, in Braga city, Portugal on Saturday 16th, 2010. You can check out some exclusive photos below as well as an some exclusive  “fan made” footage. Some gig review lines can also be read both in Portuguese and English versions.

THE EDITOR NOTES | GIG REVIEW:

—————-

I’ve always liked this French band particularly their new album ‘Poseidon’. The Devil’s Triangle, The Horn Cape, Black Smokers, are among my fave songs from this work. But to see them live have grown even more the idea that they are a band to be placed alongside with by Gojira, meaning, they are sure one of the best “made in France” bands of nowadays.

An amazing gig that held the audience attention at all time and made us all wish for a bigger stage/production (maybe a festival), so they could play under better light conditions where they could definitely show off all their potential. An extremely professional band, efficient and amazingly humble with a great ability to captivate the fans.

I cannot let slide the fact that Franky Costanza is a show apart. An amazing drummer indeed who takes the band to an even upper level.

HEATHEN/EXODUS guitarist Lee Altus – Interview

HEATHEN/EXODUS guitarist, Lee Altus was interviewed last January the 25th by HARDTIMES.CA when EXODUS was playing CLUB SODA, in Montreal, Quebec – Canada. Check out the video below.

Check also a sample of EXODUS live…

In the meantime, HEATHEN’s new album “THE EVOLUTION OF CHAOS”, is as good as unleashed since February 16th (yesterday), on the US market. Japanese audience was able to experience it since last years (December 23rd) via KING RECORDS, and the European fans were already enjoying it since January 25th via MASCOT RECORDS.

HEATHEN’s “THE EVOLUTION OF CHAOS” track list:
01. Dying Season
02. Control By Chaos
03. No Stone Unturned
04. Arrows Of Agony
05. Fade Away
06. A Heroe’s Welcome
07. Undone
08. Bloodkult
09. Red Tears Of Disgrace
10. Silent Nothingness

The band line up:
Lee Altus – guitar
Kragen Lum – guitar (PROTOTYPE)
Dave White – vocals
Jon Torres – bass (ANGELWITCH)
Darren Minter – drums

“THE EVOLUTION OF CHAOS” is definitely a MUST HAVE to every single thrash fan around. From start to end the album is pure energy leaded by great guitar works, precise drumming and a lotta melody. May it be for the guitar or vocals work, so characteristic of the best 80’s scene. Some examples of great melody work are “NO STONE UNTURNED” and “A HERO’S WELCOME”, but all along the CD you’ll be able to experience the excellent vibe created by the band. Be sure not to miss “FADE AWAY” as well… GET IT, LISTEN TO IT and come to your own conclusions, my metalhead friend.|m|
