MISS LAVA – USA Tour Diary Online; Photos And Videos Available
Portuguese Stone Rocker Hurricane MISS LAVA is now in USA producing, their brand new and yet untitled album, with Grammy Award Winning Producer Matt Hyde (CHILDREN OF BODOM, HATEBREED, SLAYER, MONSTER MAGNET, THE 69 EYES, FU MANCHU, PORNO FOR PYROS among others). The band who played WHISKY A GO-GO last August 30 is now taking a trip at the West Coast, from L.A. to Nevada, Las Vegas and back, and they are publishing all those experiences in an online BLOG named MISS LAVA ROAD DIARY USA (Portuguese needed), which is reachable at this address: http://misslava.blogs.sapo.pt/ There you have access to many “on the road” photos, as well as short films made by the band members themselves to illustrate the whole scenario they’ve been experiencing. RUSH – Band Signs With ROADRUNNER RECORDS

Roadrunner Records has announced a new worldwide partnership with Anthem Records and rock trio RUSH. The band will remain on Anthem/Universal Music in Canada only.
Ray Danniels, manager of RUSH said:
“We have tremendous respect for Roadrunner Records and what Cees Wessels and Jonas Nachsin have built on a worldwide level. After years of Roadrunner pursuing the band, Tom Lipsky presented a deal that worked and the timing was right. We wanted to be at a label focused on the rock genre — and that’s Roadrunner.”
Cees Wessels, Roadrunner Records Chairman said:
“In another life I worked with RUSH and their great management team more than 30 years ago and to have RUSH finally on the Roadrunner label is a dream come true. I am grateful for Ray Danniels’ confidence in this new partnership.”
Tom Lipsky, President of Lipsky Music, LLC, who brokered the significant deal forRoadrunner also commented:
“RUSH has a tradition of excellence and independence, both in the studio and on the live stage, and they remain as prolific today as at any point in their career. We are excited to be their label partners.”
The first release from RUSH through this deal will be various live configurations recorded during their highly successful Time Machine tour that wrapped earlier this summer. Details of the release will be revealed in the coming weeks.
RUSH bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee recently spoke to The Plain Dealerabout the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band’s upcoming 20th studio album, “Clockwork Angels”, for which a release date has not yet been set.
Geddy Lee:
“We’ve got about seven songs written. When you hear the first two songs ['BU2B' and 'Caravan'], which we’re playing live now, they definitely have a heavier sound. It’s the heavier side of RUSH in the early going. But when I think of all the songs that we’ve written already, there’s quite a lot of diversity there. I think — I hope — RUSHfans will like it. We’re certainly going to work hard to make it a great record, as we always try.”
CANDICE NIGHT To Release Debut Solo Album
Candice Night releases her debut solo single entitled “Call It Love”, via iTunes and this single is the first that comes off her first solo album“Reflections”, due on September 27 .
Night is now releasing her first solo project, “Reflections”, which is an adult contemporary album that showcases a different side to her extraordinary talent and voice. “Reflections” is emanated from Night‘s personal experiences as a woman, devoted mother and musician.
Candice:
“So many people are so afraid of the word ‘love.’ It’s all-consuming, life-changing and can leave you so open and vulnerable that saying ‘I love you’ for the first time can be a scary moment. We hide behind so many other words to describe the emotion: fate, a dream, luck that we met the right one… but once you give in and surrender to the truth of being in love, there is a comfort and a warmth of completion that doesn’t come until you give yourself fully to that incredible feeling of being in love. MISS LAVA Taps Grammy Award Winning Producer to Mix and Master New Album – 2011-07-26
Portugese heavy stoner-rock/metal kings MISS LAVA has tapped famous North-American Grammy Award winning producer, Matt Hyde (CHILDREN OF BODOM, HATEBREED, SLAYER, MONSTER MAGNET, THE 69 EYES, FU MANCHU, PORNO FOR PYROS among others - http://www.matthyde.com/about.html), to mix and master the yet untitled follow-up to the debut, Blues For The Dangerous Miles, in Los Angeles, CA on August.
The initial drum recording sessions for the CD - Chris Common (THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES,PELICAN) it’s the responsible for the drum acoustic sound - took place at Panavideo Studios, in Lisbon, Portugal under the supervision of producer/bassist Samuel Rebelo. After wrapping up the drum works MISS LAVA entered Black Sheep Studios, where Makoto Yagyu helmed the vocal recordings. Right now the band is back at Panavideo Studios to end up all recording process of both guitar and bass parts.
Song titles set to appear on the CD include: ‘Desert Mind‘, ‘Motel Neon‘ and ‘Ride‘.
VALIENT THORR – ‘Sleeper Awakes’ New Video Released – 2011-07-25
VALIENT THORR has released a brand new video for the song ‘Sleeper Awakes‘, which comes off the bands album Stranger. Valient, band frontman comments:
“We actually filmed enough footage for two videos for this. We filmed it in downtown Raleigh after a tornado hit, so a lot of town was torn up. After the final scene was shot, I went and got lifted with SNOOP DOGG. I kept wishing I had a green hat.”
MICHAEL SCHENKER – New Album ‘Temple Of Rock’ Artwork Revealed – 2011-07-20
Michael Schenker is back in 2011 with a new album entitled “Temple Of Rock”. Release is schedule to hit the Japanese market first on September 7, and then it arrives in Europe, via U.K, on September 26. “Temple Of Rock” features guest appearances by:

ROB ZOMBIE’S JOHN 5 – New Lynyrd Skynyrd Work On The Way – 2011-07-19
JOHN 5 will again be working with legends Lynyrd Skynyrd for their forthcoming new album. He’s previously worked with the band writing Skynyrd’s 2009 album “God and Guns”.
Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington stated:
“He’s probably one of the best guitar players I’ve ever played with, and I’ve played with a lot of great ones. He just lives with a guitar on him, and he knows that neck like nobody I’ve ever seen.”
