“Darkness Within“, the new video from San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD. The clip was filmed in the Czech Republic between May 4 and May 9 and can be seen at http://loudwire.com/machine-head-darkness-within-exclusive-video-premiere/.
The song comes off the band’s new album, “Unto The Locust“, which sold more than 17,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart — putting MACHINE HEAD in the Top 25 for the first time in the band’s 17-year history.
Regarding the making of the “Darkness Within” video, MACHINE HEAD guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn said, “The first time I visited Prague was on the ‘Burn My Eyes’ tour cycle in 1994 as support to SLAYER. I’ll never forget the city. I was blown away, I’d never seen anything like it before or since. The baroque and gothic architecture, the religious symbolism everywhere, the Charles Bridge, St. Vitus‘s cathedral, but also the Eastern Block feel it still carried, it was one of the most unique and beautiful cities I’d ever seen and still is.

Released on July 17 via HELLYEAH‘s new label home, Eleven Seven Music, “Band Of Brothers” was recorded in Dallas, Texas at drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott‘s home studio, VP’s Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (GODSMACK, EVANESCENCE), who also served as engineer.

CANNIBAL CORPSE‘s twelfth studio album, “Torture“, sold 9,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 38 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous CD, “Evisceration Plague“, also opened with 9,600 units to land at No. 66. That was more than 50 percent higher than the opening tally of CANNIBAL CORPSE‘s 2006 CD, “Kill“, which entered the chart at No. 170 after shifting more than 6,000 copies.

OPETH‘s new album, “Heritage“, sold 19,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 19 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous studio CD, 2008′s “Watershed“, opened with more than 19,000 units to land at No. 23.
“Watershed” was the follow-up to the band’s acclaimed “Ghost Reveries” CD, which debuted at No. 64 on the Billboard chart back in September 2005 with first-week sales of just under 15,000.

SEVENDUST will enter the studio on September 5 to begin working on its new album for an early 2013 release.
SEVENDUST‘s latest CD, “Cold Day Memory“, sold around 27,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The band’s previous effort, “Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow“, opened with 25,000 units back in April 2008 to land at position No. 19.
“Cold Day Memory” was released on April 20, 2010 on the band’s own 7Bros. Records, through Warner Music Group‘s Independent Label Group.
The CD — produced by Grammy Award winner Johnny K (DISTURBED, STAIND, 3 DOORS DOWN, PLAIN WHITE T’S) — was the group’s first new album with its original lineup back together with Lowery’s return after his departure in 2003.
