FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH: New Video Interview With JEREMY SPENCER

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Jason Hook told Loudwire in a new interview that FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH would ideally like to have a new album out every 18 months. To make that happen, they tentatively plan to get into the studio in January 2013. But will they have material ready? Hook told The Pulse Of Radio what they’ve done to make sure they keep coming up with new music.
“Last year, we put together a portable studio set-up, if you will,” he explained. “The idea behind that is just to keep the creative muscle worked out. It’s kind of like going to the gym — if you stop for a year, you lose all your strength, and we just want to keep that muscle tight. We’re in the business of making music. Touring is great, but we should always be prepared and always be exercising the creative muscle.”
The next record will follow up FIVE FINGER’s third effort, “American Capitalist“, which only just came out last October.
The latest single from “American Capitalist” is called “Coming Down“.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is currently headlining the Trespass America tour, which also features KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, POP EVIL and others.

Anthrax – Drummer Arrested For Domestic Battery
Anthrax‘s drummer Charlie Benante was reportedly arrested this last Friday night on domestic battery. Benante and wife were allegedly arrested at the Hilton Garden Inn in Elkhart Indiana after arguing in front of their daughter, age 6.
According to a local report from WSBT.com, the two were arrested and picked up at the Hilton Garden Inn and both were subsequently released from jail the next day. Benante’s booking form shows a court date set for this Friday, Aug. 3rd.

HELLYEAH‘s third album, “Band Of Brothers“, will be released on July 17 via HELLYEAH‘s new label home, Eleven Seven Music. The CD was recorded in Dallas, Texas at drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott‘s home studio, VP’s Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (GODSMACK, EVANESCENCE), who also served as engineer.

“L’Enfant Sauvage“, the fifth album from French progressive metallers GOJIRA, is available for streaming in its entirety at Australia’s TheMusic.com.au web site. The CD will be released on June 26 via Roadrunner Records.
“L’Enfant Sauvage” features 11 tracks of mind-bending, thunderous metal. The CD was recorded at Spin Recording Studios in Long Island City, New York with co-producer Josh Wilbur (LAMB OF GOD).

Download Festival 2012 Video Interview Available With RIVAL SONS
California-based RIVAL SONS are featured in a new video interview with GetYourRockOut.com, conducted at the Download Festival on the weekend of June 8th – 10th at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England. Check it out above.
The band recently confirmed that the title of their brand new studio album will be, Head Down. The follow-up to the band’s 2011 breakthrough album, Pressure & Time, was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with Grammy-nominated producer Dave Cobb (JAMIE JOHNSON, SHOOTER JENNINGS) and Grammy-wining engineer Vance Powell (JACK WHITE, THE WHITE STRIPES, KINGS OF LEON).

EVILE And Producer RUSS RUSSELL With New Video Interview Posted Online
GetYourRockOut.com conducted an interview with British thrashers EVILE and their producer Russ Russell at this year’s Download festival, which was held June 8-10 at Donington Park in Leicestershire, United Kingdom. You can now watch the chat above.
EVILE‘s third full-length album, “Five Serpent’s Teeth“, sold around 680 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 35 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
EVILE‘s previous CD, “Infected Nations“, opened with around 460 units to debut at No. 132 on the Heatseekers chart.
“Five Serpent’s Teeth” was once again recorded with producer Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR) at Parlour Studios in Kettering, U.K. and was released in Europe on September 26 via Earache Records.
EVILE‘s “In Memoriam” video can be seen above. The clip was shot on April 29 in the North of England with director Ben Thornley of Sitcom Soldiers (THRICE, THE BLACKOUT, DEAF HAVANA).
