OVERKILL will play a special show at the legendary punk rock concert venue 100 Club on August 9 during this year’s Olympic Games in London, England.
The band’s new album, “The Electric Age“, sold 6,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 77 on The Billboard 200 chart.

The members of HAMMERFALL announced in March that they were take an extended break immediately following their festival appearances this summer.
“It has been an unbelievable first 15 years, to say the least,” said guitarist Oscar Dronjak, “and now we are taking a pause to ensure that we have another 15 years ahead of us.”

LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe was released from custody after spending more than a month at a Prague, Czech Republic prison on manslaughter charges.
According to Blesk.cz, Blythe boarded a direct flight to New York at approximately 1:00 p.m. CEST (Central European Summer Time) today. He is expected to land on U.S. soil this afternoon.
“I’m relieved to be out of Pankrác jail,” Blythe told TV Nova at the airport before catching his flight. “It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t exactly fun.”
He added, “I’m relieved to be out of jail, but if it’s necessary for me to return to Prague to go to this court thing, I certainly will. I’m no flight risk.”

MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson has uploaded a new 14-minute video clip featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s August 1 concert at the Bangkok Metal Fest 1 at the Moonstar Studio 8 in Bangkok, Thailand. Check it out above. Support at the event came from Thai acts THE SUN, DEZEMBER and EBOLA.
As previously reported, MEGADETH was forced to postpone its previously announced August 3 concert at Club Tango in Beijing, China “due to issues with the show license for the venue,” according to a statement on the band’s official web site. The message added, “We are working on resolving this. We will reschedule and look forward to coming to China soon.”
