Daylight Dies – Reveal More Details About New Album
Candlelight Records has confirmed October 9th as the North American release date for Daylight Dies’ new album, A Frail Becoming, four years after the release of Lost To The Living. Mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Katatonia, Devin Townsend), the album features photography from award-winning Jonathan Mehring and packaging design by Agni Kaster. The cover artwork and final tracklist and can be found below.

Daylight Dies is currently working on a video for the song “Dreaming Of Breathing.” The clip is being filmed by Ramon Boutviseth, who also directed “Lies That Bind,” a video filmed shortly after the release of 2006′s Dismantling Devotion.

SEPULTURA Guitarist Performs With KREATOR At ROCK IN RIO LISBOA
SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser joined German thrash veterans KREATOR on stage this past Friday (May 25) at the Rock In Rio Lisboa festival in Lisbon, Portugal to perform the songs “Extreme Aggression” and “People Of The Lie“. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen above.
KREATOR‘s new album, “Phantom Antichrist“, will be released on June 1 in Europe and June 5 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with renowned producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, SOILWORK, DEVIN TOWNSEND, AMON AMARTH).

Nuclear Blast Records Signs WITCHCRAFT
Nuclear Blast Records feels honoured to welcome Swedish doom metal kings Witchcraft to the family!
After a five-year hiatus, the band is currently recording the follow up to 2007′s The Alchemist together with renowned producer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Kreator, Opeth, Amon Amarth).
The album’s working title is Legend and will feature the band’s new guitarists and drummer for the first time:

Oscar Johansson – drums
Furthermore, band leader Magnus Pelander will from now on focus on his unique vocals without playing guitar anymore.

KREATOR’s brand new album is now entitled as “Phantom Antichrist” and it’s due on June 1 in Europe and June 5 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD is still being recorded with producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, HEAVENWOOD, SOILWORK, DEVIN TOWNSEND, AMON AMARTH), at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden. The band will release a seven-inch single containing the “Phantom Antichrist” title track on April 20. The collector’s item will be available in colored red vinyl (limited to 250 pieces) as well as in clear vinyl (limited to 250 pieces, exclusively available at the Nuclear Blast mailorder).

BORKNAGAR – New Album Details
BORKNAGAR have completed the works on their new studio album, entitled, “URD”, due on March 26 in Europe and March 27 in North America via Century Media Records. Recordings were held in Örebro, Sweden, with Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (OPETH, PARADISE LOST, HEAVENWOOD, KATATONIA, among others).
Commented Øystein G. Brun:
“Our new album,’Urd’, was finished in mid December and all in all we spent about six months to record, produce and mix it. In the ‘Bork-World’ this isn’t really long, but I can assure you that we have never before invested so much time, energy and effort into one single production. It has been a tough, yet inspiring ride.
“Since June 2011 I have constantly been working with this album, recording, editing and so forth — day and night. The same goes for my comrades. Never before have we made an album where everybody in the band has been so heavily involved and dedicated as this time around.
“‘Urd’ is surely the peak of our musical journey so far and we are extremely proud to have made this giant of an album! It’s massive, it’s emotional, it’s fast, it’s slow, it’s epic, and it’s progressive… all the ingredients that we have crafted our musical world on! And not to mention the ‘golden threesome’ on vocals (Vintersorg, Mr. Vortex and Lazare) really shines on this album… Do I need to say more?!”

DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT – Extra ‘Deconstruction’ and ‘Ghost’ details – 2011-05-05
Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STEVE VAI) will release “Deconstruction” and “Ghost” — third and fourth albums respectively, on June 21 via InsideOut Music. Both albums shall complete a tetralogy started back in 2009 with “Addicted” (2009) and “Ki”(2009). Excellent Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, PARADISE LOST,BLOODBATH) was chosen to mix “Deconstruction” and sessions took place in late February at Fascination Street studio in Örebro, Sweden. To name some guest appearances he’s tapped two drummers: Ryan Van Poederooyen (TERROR SYNDROME,THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) for the “Crushing Stuff”, and Dirk Verbeuren (SOILWORK, SCARVE, ABORTED) for the “Inhuman Stuff”.
