Brief Update On Randy Blythe

I have been getting a lot of emails the last few days asking for an update on Randy Blythe who is still sitting in a Prague jail. Basically as we reported last week, the new bail amount of $400,000 USD was paid last week. The Prague Municipal Court has been awaiting the documents since then so they can begin processing Blythe for release assuming the prosecutor has no further objections.

The prosecutor’s objections have been denied by multiple judges in the bail hearings so far. Our sources also tell us this is the final time the prosecutor can object so the judges decision will be final.

Randy Blythe is being held in the Czech Republic following the tragic death of a fan following a May 2010 concert in Prague. He was arrested on June 27 and has been detained for nearly four weeks now.

CHILDREN Of BODOM Frontman Still In The Hospital

Children of Bodom has had to cancel more shows as Alexi Laiho remains hospitalized in Norway. The band has issued the following statement:

“This is not an easy letter for us to write. Alexi is suffering from a serious infection. He is still in hospital in Oslo under supervision of the doctors and we don’t know yet when they will release him.

“We have no choice other than canceling Ruisrock in Turku on Saturday as well. This is a very bitter pill for us to swallow. We had decided to do only two festivals in our homeland this summer to make it real special, and now this.”

KREATOR Issue A Statement Ahead Of The Tour

KREATOR‘s Mille Petrozza has issued the following statement:

“There’s a lot of negative posts on here, like ‘Why arent you coming to xy?’. For your information: The North American and the European dates are only the beginning of our world tour that will probably keep us out there for the next two years. There is a South American, an Australian, Asian, Russian and of course a UK tour in the making for early 2013 so keep your ‘Fuck you for not coming to….’ comments and be a little patient, OK?! Thank you. The Kreator WILL return!”
