Guitarist John Petrucci of progressive metal giants DREAM THEATER has contributed a guest guitar solo to the forthcoming sophomore full-length album from the Maryland-based experimental, progressive metallers PERIPHERY. According to an advertisement in the latest issue of Revolver magazine, the CD is scheduled for a July 3 release via Sumerian Records.
PERIPHERY supported DREAM THEATER for two U.S. shows last October and a full-length European tour in January and February.
According to a new Facebook posting by guitarist John Petrucci of progressive metal giants DREAM THEATER, “writing for the next DT album officially commenced while in Osaka [Japan] the other day.” He adds, “Jet lag seems to open up one’s creative channels.”
